Jonah

Most people probably recognize the book of Jonah because of the story they heard as a child of how Jonah was swallowed by a great whale and lived to proclaim a message from God to a great city called Nineveh. Jonah is much more than the children's story you may have originally heard as a child. We will see God's mercy expressed in a historical account that left Jonah angry with God, even though he knew that God is "a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster." We will explore how having a heart aligned with what is most important to God is how we can best serve Him.
